Green Cup of Polo, July 19, 2008 at the Capitol Polo Club.
On
July 19th, 2008, The Capitol Polo Club will host the second annual Green
Cup of Polo to raise awareness of environmental issues and benefit three
prominent environmental organizations:
- ACORE
(American Council On Renewable Energy);
- EarthEcho
International
- EPIC
(Equestrian Partners in Conservation); and
- Live
Green
The
Green Cup brings together polo enthusiasts, top DC-environmentalists,
business leaders, elected representatives, diplomats, horse lovers,
fashionistas, and socialites.
This
year's event will feature two matches, cuisine from the city's top organic
and sustainable restaurants and cafes, entertainment by Great Falls
Vaulters and the World's Children Choir as well as offer a full day of
surprises. Bring family and friends to a tailgating party, sip
'Ecotinis' in the member's club area, or enjoy view of the field from our
prime seats in the VIP area. No matter what your choice is, we promise you
a wonderful day of festivities, fun, and two action-packed polo matches.
